Want a new garden in 2025 - now is the time to get in touch
It's been a funny old year. In, unfortunately, many, many negative ways. I'm not even talking about the Gardener's favourite subject of the weather. (Although that's been truly abysmal). I won't go into them here, after all this is our / my safe space to talk about everything about gardens.
After a slow start to the year for everyone in the Garden/ Landscaping space, recent events since mid year seem to have kicked off a surge in interest from people wanting to relook at their outside spaces, most wanting quite radical makeovers.
Why do we think that is? I'm not totally sure. Was it the sun? A settled election? other stuff? I do think though that when things feel tough, that creating a safe and calm outdoor haven, where you can shut the door and feel relaxed with your family and friends isn't an unexpected reaction.
Gardens, as we know, are great for us. Some fun, generally unchecked "facts" I regularly come across.
- Gardeners live on average 14 year longer than non gardeners...Not sure, but I'll take it
- Doctors do prescribe gardening therapy. I think this one is true . ( I know someone who does it). Spending as little as 2 hours a week in a green space can radically improve your health and mental well being. Long live Green prescriptions
- People who grow their own food eat healthier (and probably save money). Again, I'm not sure on this one, and I for one have eaten some of the most expensive vegetables ever. I'm still enjoying the process stage v the total produce stage on my allotment. (2024 slug armageddon -I'm going mainly cut flowers next year)
Anyway, I am digressing. So why get in touch now if you want a new garden in 2025?
Easy - lead times. Plan ahead. As I talked about in my blog of June 20th, Planning a new garden? Here's the 5 things to think of, Autumn really is the best time to get in touch.
My design time is now booked up until Christmas, and those lucky clients on my design board will be getting in early with builds starting as soon as the weather picks up in the new year. They'll be sitting in new gardens by Easter 2025.
It's obviously not too late. It's always a good time to plan a new garden. Get in touch and let's see if we can have you sitting in the garden of your dreams in Spring / Summer 2025.
